My favourite travel destination in India
Camping in Rishikesh might be the perfect vacation for some people but not me. There are several destinations which are worth travelling and will fascinate you with its specialities, nature, diversity and culture. So when there are so many places to explore my one of the favourite holiday destination. According to me, My favourite travel destination is Jaisalmer The Golden Heart of Rajasthan, Jaisalmer is crowned with fascinating historical marvels and elongated stretch of golden sand dunes that make the journey memorable. The Golden Heart of Rajasthan, Jaisalmer is crowned with fascinating historical marvels and elongated stretch of golden sand dunes that make the journey memorable.
As Jaisalmer is located near the great Thar Desert, the city experiences a warm and hot climate all around the year. Summers are best to avoid visiting the city because of the scorching heat of the sun that makes sightseeing quite impossible. Monsoon gives relief from the sun but the climate is humid and sticky during this season. Winters are considered as the best time to visit Jaisalmer when the temperature remains moderate during the day and falls down during the night. Everyone has its own tastes and preferences and it also depends on the time available to visit a place. You haven’t mentioned time frame and your preferences So I will try to answer assuming a short visit and remove duplicate entries.
- Patwon ki haveli. Jaisalmer might be famous for Golden fort but my favourite place is Patwon ki Haveli. Some visitors often get disappointed by it because they don’t visit the museum and just visit the Haveli. However real gem is the Museum. It is wonderful and a great experience. The other places which people describe are Nathmal ki haveli and Salim Singh ki Haveli but if you have seen Patwon ki Haveli, then you can skip those. Just have a glance from outside. Salim Singh ki Haveli is now in bad condition.
- Golden Fort and Baa ki Haveli. Fort looks Spectacular from outside, especially in the night. I won’t rate the interior of the fort high. It is not as great as Mehrangrah or Amer but View of the city from the fort is however spectacular.
- Jain Temples of The Golden Fort. Jain Temples of the Fort are really beautiful and you can skip Temples of Lodarva if you have seen these. You can then also skip other Jain temples near Jaisalmer. I am not saying those are not great but if you are on a short trip, then if you have seen Jain Temples of the Fort it would be fine.
Best time to visit Jaisalmer is winters. if you went there in summer you cant bear heat and warm air, Visit at least one time in life all things are amazing you love it really.
