Love Marriage vs. Arranged Marriage


Relationship Guidance may be required in both types of marriages. But which one is better? Let’s find out.

I think, if you try to understand and make a balanced decision, then Love marriages are 100 times better than arranged marriages.

Reasons:-

  • In the case of Arranged marriages, you may likely marry a person who loves actually another person of another caste, but because of the parent's pressure or some other reason agreed to tie a knot with an unknown person of the same caste. In India, such things happen much more than love marriages, and it destroys 3 people, or at least two. It always remains as an unfulfilled desire of life, to marry a person one loved and loves to marry, whatever be the after-effects. Such things always remain hidden and unnoticed, but such things happen quite frequently in India. But sometimes, such facts come out as a complete disaster, as husband/wife ran away with his/her lover, after marriage, OR murder his/her wife/husband after marriage, continue contacts and other relationships with the lover, etc. I think such things happen only in India, and no other country, and it is because of arranged marriages done in caste against the wish of the individuals involved who loves some other person of another caste.
  • Nowadays, I think that arranged marriages do not prove to be civilized and suitable for the people who used to call themselves cultured and moral. It should be understood, that because of technological advancement, arranged marriages are turned out to be immoral and uncultured, which is exactly opposite in the past and very well compatible with culture and morals. Arranged marriages are now uncultured and immoral, and is supporting the immoral and shameful behaviors, which is needed to be tackled, and as far as I think, arranged marriages should be totally replaced by love marriages, for preserving the culture and morality.

                                    

There is nothing like arrange marriage or love marriage. I think, to have perfect marriage, couples must have trust, understanding, and respect among themselves.
